Cityworks Design is providing urban design and technical support to West Hollywood’s Community Development Department to support their participation in Metro’s Crenshaw K Line Extension Environmental Study.  Metro’s alternatives consider routes extending from the recently opened K Line further north into the City of Los Angeles, West Hollywood, with the potential to reach the Hollywood Bowl. CWD has provided conceptual studies for proposed stations in West Hollywood along the alternative alignments being studied, which include stations at Santa Monica/San Vicente, Santa Monica/Fairfax, and Santa Monica/La Brea Boulevards. Other studies the team have performed include economic and land use analysis to refine station locations, and support the city’s housing and planning objectives, First/Last Mile access to stations, and architectural implications for Metro’s proposed station sites.
