Metro’s Multimodal Integrated Planning (MIP) Division is developing a comprehensive planning methodology to ensure its portfolio of projects, plans, and studies are less auto-centric and more multimodal. Cityworks Design is co-facilitating working group discussions among the teams that form the MIP Division, internal Metro stakeholders, and public agency partners involved in Metro public right-of-way projects and plans. The HNTB-led team is using input from these discussions to develop a guide for the Division that provides a clear process for planning and implementing multimodal projects that align with the Division’s values, while being responsive to community needs and serving Metro customers regardless of their travel mode.
