Cityworks Design specializes in urban design and master planning. Lisa Padilla, AIA, a LEED certified architect, established the firm in 2006. Padilla has considerable expertise in the design and implementation of projects that capitalize on transportation improvements to enhance the public realm. The firm is recognized by the State of California as a DBE and M/WBE (disadvantaged and minority/ women owned) business. Padilla has significant experience in feasibility analysis, conceptual design, and programming for public, private, and non-profit institutions and agencies. As a Principal at a large national practice she led design and managed large projects for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (Mid-City/Exposition Light Rail Transit – Phase I), for the City of Santa Monica (Downtown Transit Mall Pedestrian Improvements), for the City of West Hollywood (Santa Monica Boulevard Master Plan), and for the City of San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (Transbay Streetscape and Open Space Plan).
